Learning & Organisation Development Office
Learning and Organisation Development
The Learning & Organisation Development (L&OD) Office oversees three people-related functions, namely Learning & Development, Organisation Development, as well as MICE Management.
Learning and Development
Driving Workforce Transformation and Capability Development for Healthcare
Learning and Development (L&D) plays a vital role in enhancing the capability and capacity of the healthcare workforce while fostering a culture rooted in core values, shared language, and collective leadership.
L&D is instrumental in driving workforce transformation, together with Kaizen Office, and Collaborating Centres Support Office. These offices drive initiatives to spread and scale job redesign efforts, enhance workforce capabilities, and equip staff with the skills required for driving person-centred and innovative care models. This will involve scaling structured learning pathways, improving organisational health, and embedding lean transformation practices across all levels, ensuring that the healthcare workforce will remain agile, empowered, and future ready.
In support of CHI’s strategic priorities, L&D's efforts are focused in these areas:
Workforce Transformation
-
Redesign clinical and non-clinical job roles to support emerging care models, drive cost savings, and ensure NHG’s readiness for future healthcare demands.
Capability Development
-
Strengthen workforce skills through CHI capability development programmes, integrating future-oriented andragogy and cutting-edge curriculum delivery.
Through these efforts, L&D plays a crucial role in shaping a resilient and forward-thinking healthcare workforce, ensuring NHG remains at the forefront of innovation and excellence.
Organisation Development
Building Organisation Health to Achieve Excellence
Organisation Development (OD) builds leadership and people capabilities to respond with agility, lead change, and drive transformation. Our mission is to enable communities across the healthcare and social care sectors to collectively add years of healthy life for the populations we serve. We focus on delivering impact and driving outcomes that support population health, healthcare sustainability, and value-based care.
In alignment with CHI’s strategic priorities, OD concentrates its efforts on three key areas:
Build Culture for Transformation
-
Foster a culture of innovation and adaptability that supports meaningful change and ensures continued relevance in an evolving healthcare landscape.
Enable Transformational Change at Care, System, and Ecosystem Levels
-
Enable change at care, system and ecosystem levels involve aligning efforts across these interconnected levels to create sustained impact for the larger healthcare system.
Build System Change Capacity and OD Capability
-
Strengthen OD capabilities among people and leaders to lead change, mobilise others, and create value. Our focus includes deepening organisational capability, equipping staff with future-ready skills, and nurturing an innovation-driven culture through projects, mentorship, and knowledge-sharing.
